Kristin Tims

Kristin started teaching dance with MIT Physical Education and Wellness in 2023. She studied in a classical BFA undergraduate program at the Boston Conservatory for a year before moving to California. In May of 2020, Kristin completed her BFA in dance at California Institute of the Arts, with a semester exchange at Zurich University of the Arts. Kristin grew up dancing in Burlington MA, at Suzanne’s Dance Connection. From 2017-2023, she managed a mobile dance company and studio in Los Angeles, serving over 450 students and 12+ locations. As a teacher, performer, and choreographer, Kristin is passionate about making dance accessible and approachable. Her teaching focuses on the whole identity of each student. She desires for students to feel accepted, understood, challenged, and empowered through dance during their time together. Kristin loves the opportunity to connect with students and have a small impact on their journey to adulthood.

Favorite food

My favorite food – hands down – is my mom’s chicken parmesan, rigatoni pasta with marinara sauce, green sweet peas, and all the grated parmesan my plate can hold.

Hidden talent

My hidden talent is I have an unusually good memory. Some say it’s a photographic memory. For example, I can memorize a deck of cards!
