Lucia Robinson-Griggs

Instructor/Coach

Lu started teaching at MIT in 2021 and serves as the head coach for the Women’s Basketball team. She has always been passionate about athletics and keeping an active lifestyle. Lu loves teaching overall fitness and beginner weight training, as well as participating in yoga, spin, and bootcamp classes. She takes every opportunity to get outside, whether it be for a walk, hike, or any type of game. Lu has a B.S. Mathematics with a minor in Psychology from Bentley University and obtained a M.A. in Math Education with a concentration in moderate disabilities from Lesley University. Lu is excited to get to know students beyond the athletic arena and hear more about what they do on MIT’s campus.

Football

What is a unique fact about you?

I am a national champion in women’s tackle football with the Boston Militia, now the Boston Renegades. Go Renegades!

What are you most proud of?

Seeing former players and students be successful makes me proud to have been a part of their journeys.
